Destiny is not a matter of chance, it’s a matter of choice, it is not something to be wished for, it is something to be attained.

Photos of Talk to Top of the Ozarks Grazing Group

First we gave a three hour talk in the “classroom” on the value and basics of Stockmanship. Then we traveled to Rex and Amy Hamilton’s farm where they had this group of calves all ready for Richard’s demonstration. These were sale-barn calves that had been trained to drive when they first arrived, though hadn’t been “driven” in a month. They showed how the early training pays off and they don’t forget!

Richard found they stayed together and worked well as a bunch.

Ok, let’s bring them into the corral.

Yes, right through that gate with . . .

. . . all those people standing by it!

Then Rex and Amy wanted to weigh them, so Richard picked out 3 head, just what the alley would hold, to put into the Bud Box and then up the alley to weigh.

Next they needed them loaded on the trailer to take back to pasture.

We call this synchronized loading!

Loading took 30 seconds from Richard walking toward them after opening the trailer gates until the trailer gates were locked.
