Best wishes for a wonderful year to you and yours!
Our first school in Wyoming was to another great group of ranchers!
We just finished putting on two, two day Proper Stockmanship Schools in Red Deer and Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. This trip was our first to Alberta, and we were very excited to meet the ranchers there who are interested in better stockhandling.
We just finished our second Marketing and Stockmanship School in Wawota, SK in as many years. What a great group (as always!). It was really nice to see so many young folks very interested in both the marketing and the stockmanship!
We are just finishing a two day Proper Stockmanship school in Dickinson, ND. Most of the class are volunteers with North Dakota Badlands Horse which does an excellent job of working on Theodore Roosevelt National Park gathering horses using low-stress stockmanship and finding great homes for them. Be sure and read all about their group here.
We enjoyed a great afternoon speaking on Proper Stockmanship to the clients of the veterinary office of Dr. Perry Mobley in SE Alabama. In 3 hours we can’t do much more than whet their appetite, but we did give them a few tools to start with and information on where to learn more!
Other speakers that afternoon included Dr. Doug Ensley and Mr. Randy Fordham of Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. They presented great information on “Keeping Calves Healthy” and “Veterinary Feed Directive and the Importance of Respiratory Disease Prevention.”
